Please join us in welcoming METRANS Student Worker Shichun Hu to the METRANS student assistant team. Shichun began her work with METRANS by assisting with events promotion and logistics.  More recently, she has taken the responsibility of coordinating the METRANS mentor program, a valuable and meaningful opportunity for students to seek advice from and build a relationship with a mentor in their career field of interest. Shichun is dedicated to maintaining a successful program and helping students who reach out to METRANS.

Shichun is a first-year Master of Industrial and System Engineering student in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. She is passionate about logistics and supply chain management, especially in the area of urban logistics. She is interested in learning more about the field and implementing her skills and knowledge in practice. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Logistics Engineering at Central South University in China, where she assisted in a national funding program on green logistics network design and placed third 3rd in a University wide logistics design test.

In her spare time, Shichun enjoys a variety of sports and is keen on learning as much as possible about different cultures and histories. She is fascinated with stories and people. She loves walking through streets to experience the unique atmosphere of a certain city and credits them as instrumental in forming her character.
