METRANS' education goal is to foster education and training to contribute to the development of the transportation workforce. We week programs that are multi-disciplinary, multi-modal, and incorporate both passengers and freight.

There are numerous accredited degree programs related specifically to the METRANS UTC Tier One Center such as the undergraduate programs at USC that offer transportation courses, the graduate programs at USC that offer a transportation specialization, and the undergraduate and graduate programs at CSULB that include transportation courses. In addition to these, we offer:

• The  Mentor program to facilitate student/employer connections

• Internship and Externship referral and support

• The Lunch with a Practitioner Series

• The Virtual Transportation Academy for high school students

• Support for and engagement with student organizations – in particular those serving under-represented groups.
