While many students treated themselves to a vacation, METRANS student assistant Deepa Rama Hegde made the most out of her summer by interning at Symantec, Culver City, one of the leading American software companies providing security, backup and storage.  Hegde is pursuing MS in Business Analytics at the Marshall School of Business, and expects to complete her degree in Spring, 2018. The Summer 2017 Issue of METRANS News is now available.  Click here  for a PDF version. METRANS News  is generally published three times a year and summarizes METRANS research, education and outreach activities. It highlights METRANS researchers, conferences and other events, recent publications, interviews with key individuals involved in METRANS, and other newsworthy activities and events. It is distributed to university transportation centers and faculty throughout the U.S., to federal, state, and local public agencies, and to the transportation industry. WTS-OC Kicks Off 2017-18 Mentor Program

  The WTS Orange County Chapter initiated its 2017-2018 Mentoring Program on July 28, 2017.  Hosted by Nossaman LLP in Irvine, the event brought the mentor and mentees pairs together for the first time, giving them an opportunity to meet and to learn about their interests and professional/career goals. Students Learn and Make Valuable Connections at WTS-OC Transportation Academy

  Each summer, the Orange County chapter of WTS (WTS-OC) hosts the Transportation Academy, a two-week transportation immersion program for college students throughout the region, now in its 8 th year.
