METRANS Tier 1 UTC Awards $300K in Transportation Research

Friday, September 5, 2014

METRANS Tier 1 Center is pleased to award $300K funding to five new research projects from proposals submitted in response to its spring 2014 RFP.  Scheduled to begin in early 2015, these projects are intended to increase US economic competitiveness by improving transporation system performance in large metropolitan areas.  Regular tenure track full-time faculty members and research faculty at USC and CSULB are eligible to serve as Principal Investigator.  Proposals may also include as Co-Principal Investigators research or non-tenure track USC and CSULB faculty.

METRANS UTC issues requests for proposals (RFPs) to support its research program.  We follow a peer-reviewed proposal selection process in which each proposal is submitted to reviewers from universities, public agencies, and private firms.  All research is expected to result in publications in refereed journals.
