Are you a student interested in considering a career in transportation but find yourself unsure of how to begin? Or perhaps you are well on your way and just need some additional support? We have great news for you! We are pleased to announce that METRANS will continue our popular mentor program this fall and is now accepting applications!

METRANS continues to work hard to help interested students in exploring and possibly pursuing a transportation related career. The METRANS mentor program is now entering its fifth year, and the results are pretty impressive: our center has matched more than 100 students (30 last year alone) with professional mentors, and continually receives positive feedback from both students and their mentors.

Our program offers a connection between students and practitioners in diverse branches of the transportation including planning, logistics, policy and more. For those interested in knowing more about the growing field of transportation, this mentor program will provide you with professional advice and practical career guidance to help you better understand these career options.

Those who wish to be involved with METRANS mentor program as either a mentee or mentor are encouraged to contact METRANS Associate Director Victoria Deguzman at [email protected] or METRANS Student Mentor Program Coordinator, Shichun Hu at [email protected].
