Ali Mir is a Vice President and the Advisory Services + Transportation Business Lines Leader for the Southern California + Nevada District at WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy. Mr. Mir is focused on clarifying the vision of the district for Advisory Services and developing opportunities for WSP to serve as a strategic partner for key clients as the firm expands its transportation planning, urban planning and environmental planning service offerings. He is also responsible for expanding the Transportation team to deepen the firm’s architecture and engineering expertise within the district. Mr. Mir has extensive experience in transit and transportation, including work on multi-modal corridor projects and transit line extensions from feasibility to construction. He has led several successful projects for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Southern California Regional Rail Authority, California High-Speed Rail Authority, Federal Railroad Administration, Orange County Transportation Authority and Riverside County Transportation Commission.

 

Mr. Mir is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in public policy, management and planning with an emphasis in urban design. He is an Envision sustainability professional (ENV SP) certified by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. He is also a member of the American Planning Association, Association of Environmental Professionals and WTS-International.
