Biographical Sketch

Peng Hao is an Associate Researcher at CE-CERT and Adjunct Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at at the University of California, Riverside. He received his B.S. degree in civil engineering from Tsinghua University in 2008, and Ph.D. degree in transportation engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2013. Following graduation, he served as a postdoctoral scholar and then research faculty at CE-CERT.

Dr. Hao's research interests include connected and automated vehicles, eco-driving, traffic modeling and simulation, signal control and traffic operations. His current research focuses on developing eco-driving strategies at signalized intersections based on vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, estimating the performance of urban traffic systems using mobile sensing data, and evaluating the environmental impact of traffic congestion using sparse data.
