METRANS Awarded $3.7 Million Grant to Establish Center of Excellence

METROFREIGHT is a consortium housed at the University of Southern California under the leadership of METRANS Director Dr. Genevieve Giuliano. It is an international Center of Excellence with university partners in Los Angeles/Long Beach (METRANS represented by USC and CSULB), Paris, New York and Seoul. The METRANS USC team will "aim to develop a better understanding of urban freight problems and develop effective, sustainable and implementable strategies for solving these problems," said Dr. Giuliano. The METRANS CSULB team will participate extensively in the goals of establishing freight education and training programs and conducting research.
