Maddie was born and raised in India where she completed her Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from KIIT University in 2015. METRANS News  is generally published three times a year and summarizes METRANS research, education and outreach activities. It highlights METRANS researchers, conferences and other events, recent publications, interviews with key individuals involved in METRANS, and other newsworthy activities and events. It is distributed to university transportation centers and faculty throughout the U.S., to federal, state, and local public agencies, and to the transportation industry.   METRANS is proud to congratulate USC Price PhD in Urban Planning and Development, 2015, Sandip Chakrabarti, on joining the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad this fall as Assistant Professor in the Public Systems Group. Currently he is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Planning and Urban Studies at the University of New Orleans.
