We are pleased to welcome Kaitlyn Kenan Zhang, METRANS Transportation Centers newest student team member. Kaitlyn joins us as our Assistant Editor, and will work closely with Arpita Sharma to create the weekly METRANS student newsletters and other Center news. Kaitlyn Zhang is a first year Master of Public Policy (MPP) student with a specialization in transportation policy and planning. Sixteen students from USC and CSULB visited the Los Angeles Regional Transportation Management Center (LARTMC) on March 25 th for a field trip organized by METRANS Transportation Center. By interacting with Caltrans staff and touring the state-of-the-art facilities, students were able to gain valuable insights while learning in detail about the duties and daily operations of the LARTMC. On Friday, March 4th, METRANS held a Spring Lunch with a Practitioner Seminar event with Steven Mateer, Transportation Planning Manager at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro, or Metro).
