Metrofreight Urban Freight Training Seminar In Paris

Tuesday, February 2, 2016

IFFSTAR hosted the first MetroFreight Urban Freight Training Seminar in Paris in December 2015. The two-day interactive workshop brought regional and municipal-level transportation planners from across France together to learn about legislative changes impacting the work of the planning agency, the results of the recently completed Paris Freight Survey and to discuss Best Practices. The trainees worked in teams to address urban logistics challenges and presented their findings to leading industry experts. The format proved popular with the trainees who welcomed the opportunity to work with peers from other regions and to learn from practitioners. The training will be repeated in 2016 and will include not only transport professionals, but city planners and representatives from economic development and commerce departments as well. Below are some photos from the training seminar.
