Announcing New Issue of Transfers

Transfers Magazine is the biannual research publication of the Pacific Southwest Region University Transportation Center. The latest issue features articles from scholars at UCLA, USC, UC Irvine, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa on critical questions facing transportation policy. What makes a good new driver? Does light rail really reduce traffic? How can coastal cities create better evacuation plans to deal with the increased threats of climate change? Why do parking requirements stand in the way of more affordable, flexible "granny flat" housing? Each article is a condensed, accessible version of peer-reviewed academic research, intended to transfer the knowledge of experts into policy actions that improve people’s lives.
