On behalf of METRANS on the Move, our student created and produced weekly newsletter, I am pleased to welcome its new Editor-in-Chief, Priyanka Ramasamy. Ramasamy is a second-year Master of Civil Engineering – Transportation Engineering student, and will take over the management of newsletter content, coordination of writing assignments, and publishing, from me.  I am graduating this spring, and while I will miss this position, I know the newsletter is in good hands.

On March 24th, 2018, students and alumni from USC, UCLA, UCI, Cal State Fullerton and other universities visited KOA Corporation and the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) for behind-the-scenes guided tours. The two are located adjacent to each other in Orange County, California.

After returning from a recent trip to Hong Kong, Elizabeth recently caught up with METRANS to discuss her passion for logistics and transportation at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, her experience as a graduate student at USC, and her affinity to be in the midst of a technological revolution that the port industry is currently experiencing.
