Jodie Muller, Senior Vice President, Government & Association Affairs, joined the WSPA team in 1999, and has served in multiple capacities from external affairs to refining operations during her tenure with the Association. In her current position, she manages external advocacy and outreach programs dealing with government/public affairs for the Association, and serves on the President’s Leadership Team, providing management of and strategic direction to all staff.

In her role, Jodie ensures WSPA optimizes its talented staff to the maximum extent to effectively advocate WSPA’s positions in the legislative and regulatory arenas.  Her favorite responsibility is growing the talent level of the WSPA staff and is continually looking for new training and professional development opportunities.

Prior to joining WSPA, Jodie served as a Legislative Analyst to the City Council in Long Beach, CA and worked in the White House Communications Office serving under President George HW Bush’s five speechwriters.

Jodie earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a Master of Public Administration degree specializing in Public Policy from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. Jodie is married and has two children.
